Introducing Jordan Jennings: Sparta’s New Goalkeeper Coach

We are excited to welcome Jordan Jennings as our goalkeeper coach for the upcoming season for the older age groups. Jordan brings a rare blend of professional playing experience, high‑level coaching background, and deep Tacoma roots — all of which will directly benefit our young goalkeepers.

About Jordan

Jordan’s journey in soccer began right here in Tacoma, where he grew up playing for NORTAC. His playing career eventually took him to the professional level, competing as a goalkeeper with:

• Seattle Sounders

• Sydney United 58 FC (Australia)

• Tacoma Tide

These experiences shaped his understanding of what it takes to excel in goal — technically, mentally, and physically — and now inform the way he develops young keepers.

As a coach, Jordan has led goalkeeper programs at:

• Seattle Sounders Academy

• FWFC

• Snohomish United

Off the field, he leads a recruiting organization at a tech software company, where coaching, development, and helping people reach their potential are central to his work. Jordan is also a proud husband and new father to a 3‑month‑old son.

Coaching Philosophy

Jordan believes the goalkeeper position is unlike any other — demanding confidence, courage, leadership, and sharp decision‑making. His goal is to help players become:

• Clean and reliable with their handling

• Smart, composed decision‑makers

• Vocal leaders who organize their back line

• And most importantly, players who love being in goal
